Positivity Pimp Turns 1 + Happy New Year!

Positivity Pimp turns ONE today and we are celebrating a spectacular New Year!

It's so insane to think that a year has flown by since I created my very own creative outlet in web land. A year ago I launched Positivity Pimp with the hope of spreading more love, joy, and positivity. It became a labour of love to create a space where I could share my snippets of wisdom, the beauty in my everyday life, and to connect and share with a tribe of amazing women (and men!). 

It's a special and proud day to see how far the blog has come and if I'm being honest, it's humbling to see how far I've come in my personal life too. Having this platform has kept me accountable and allowed me to grow, stretch and develop. Hands down I feel more plugged in and aligned with who I really am. It feels glorious. It's hard to imagine what life would be like without Positivity Pimp. 

As we all take our first tentative steps into the New Year I want to share something with you which I wrote last night. It's a dedication from my heart to yours.

Dear 2013,

I'm so pleased to finally have had the opportunity to meet you. You're brighter, shinier, and more majestic than I ever thought you would be - but I shouldn't have expected any less should I?

This year we're going to write one of the best love stories ever told. This year we are going to infuse every nook of our lives with hope, peace, love, joy and an enormous sense of gratitude. Quite frankly, we're going to scream 'HELL YES' a little louder than last year.

This coming year let's choose to release the idea of perfectionism. You and I are going to throw caution to the wind and not fret about every little detail. We're going to let our hair down. Get a little messy. Make mistakes. Dust them off. Then move on. We're going to go a little easier on ourselves and we won't give ourselves such a hard time when things don't go to plan because we trust that there is something bigger and more stunning just around the corner. 

In the midst of all this we'll remind ourselves that at any particular moment we are exactly where we need to be. We will progress by asking the questions, learning the lessons and completing the assignments. We will remove the thoughts and expectations of where we think we 'should' be and relax into the moment. Everything unfolds as it should.  

There will never be a 'perfect' moment so we'll gather up all our moxie and determination and Just Start. Let's not waste a moment by just wishing, hoping, and dreaming. Let's take gusty action and turn goals into achievements. Progression = Happiness. It's not always about the end result. Sometimes it's the journey that brings the most fulfilment. 2013 you are going to be one heck of a journey.

Last year 2012 and I discovered things that lit a fiery passion deep within us. Let's keep the flame burning. 2013, bring more inspiration, creativity, and knowledge into our lives. Let us keep digging and delving into thoughts and ideas. Let our imagination explode. We're ready. If we have yet to tap into an undiscovered cave of talent we ask that you use the GPS system of our soul and guide us there expeditiously. 

As a little FYI, please be aware of the parts of our soul that feel weathered, worn out, and unnourished. We ask that you guide us to a well of happiness where we can heal, recuperate, and flourish once more. Now is the time. Arms wide open. Head flung back. We are ready now more than ever to release the hurt, the anger, the frustration. It's time to let heartbreak go. We desire real love. The kind of love that brings tears to our eyes because it overwhelms us. Please take note 2013. Our hearts want to soar and to sing. 

2013 you are our do-over sheet. You are our blank canvas on which we desire to paint the most beautiful picture. We've seen the future in our minds. We've felt you in our hearts. Now is the time that you may come to fruition. We are ready and waiting. 

Breathing deep. Listening to the Inner Whispers. The clocks are ticking. You've arrived. 

I'm raising my glass to you. Here's to falling in love with life.
